The blog of novelist Sue Swift.

I haven't blogged much lately.
This post, and the next, will explain why.
They were originally sent out as emails.

Dear Friends,

Surrounded by his family--wife Wendy, sons
Tony, Alex and Jake, father-in-law Jim Coe
and me-my brother, Keith Swift, died at 5:36
a.m. at his home in San Diego today, May 3d.

For those of you who weren't lucky enough to know
Keith, he was a family man, and also beloved by a
wide circle of friends, old and new. He was an athlete
who enjoyed scuba, karate and especially tennis; in
fact, he was a member of a college tennis team which won
its NCAA championship.

He was known for his wit, storytelling and
fondness for his golden retrievers. Our beautiful Garbo was
also by his side when he passed, just as she was
his companion throughout his illness.

Thanks so much to all of you for your support.

Love,

Sue

Rough times ahead, folks. I thought I was going to be able
to return home tomorrow, but my sister in law and
nephews have asked me to stay in San Diego.
I will be here for another couple of weeks just to support
them and as I said, be where I am supposed to be
when I am supposed to be: here doing exactly
what I am supposed to be doing.
